The GRTiQ 10: Lark Davis (Ep.199)

Lark Davis brought his characteristic wit and wisdom to the GRTiQ 10, offering a mix of practical insights, humorous anecdotes, and life lessons.

The book that has most impacted Lark’s life is Dale Carnegie’s classic, How to Win Friends and Influence People. Lark shared that he re-reads it every few years and has probably read it 30 to 40 times, highlighting its enduring relevance. He also praised Tony Robbins’ works for their motivational value.

For movies, Lark recommended Casablanca, a timeless black-and-white classic that he believes everyone should experience for its beauty and storytelling.

When asked about a music album to listen to forever, Lark hesitated, acknowledging that any single album might feel like a prison sentence over time. Ultimately, he leaned toward classical music, appreciating its timeless quality.

Lark shared a memorable piece of advice from his father, who told him, “If it’s not in the hand, you haven’t made anything.” This lesson came after Lark celebrated a crypto profit without cashing out, only to see the value plummet later. The wisdom: take profits when you can.

One profound insight Lark offered is a reminder of our shared mortality. He emphasized prioritizing what truly matters: spending time with loved ones and finding beauty in life.

For a life hack, Lark swears by starting the day with no breakfast and black coffee, a simple routine that keeps him energized.

Lark believes the key to success is self-belief. He described how relentless optimism and a strong belief in oneself can open doors and manifest opportunities, shaping the path to achievement.

The thing that most excites me about the future of web3 is… “Dog with hat.”
If you’re on X (Twitter), you should be following… “@LarkDavis.”
I’m happiest when… “I’m playing with my kids.”
