The GRTiQ 10: Jeroen Develter (Ep. 195)

In a recent GRTiQ Podcast episode, Jeroen Develter participated in the GRTiQ 10, sharing insights into his inspirations, routines, and outlook on life.

Jeroen credited two books for shaping his perspective: Atomic Habits by James Clear and Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. He values Atomic Habits for its emphasis on the power of daily improvement and Outliers for highlighting the role of circumstances in success, reflecting his belief in the interplay of habits and serendipity.

For TV, Jeroen recommended Curb Your Enthusiasm, admiring its unique humor. As for music, he rarely listens but leans toward classical music, appreciating its timeless versatility for studying, working, or relaxing.

Jeroen shared a blunt but impactful piece of advice: “You’re going to die.” This philosophy motivates him to live fully and make the most of each day. He also emphasized the importance of consistency, noting that sustained effort and follow-through build both results and reputation.

A favorite life hack of Jeroen’s is rooted in Parkinson’s Law: work expands to fill the time allotted. He advises setting strict deadlines, both for oneself and collaborators, to avoid procrastination and maximize productivity.

Persistence, Jeroen’s personal mantra and the name of his company, stands out as the defining characteristic of success. He believes unwavering determination is the key to achieving goals.

The thing that most excites me about the future of web3 is… “The potential for creating the Bitcoin economy.”
If you’re on X (Twitter), you should be following… “Sahil Bloom. I really like the content he puts out.”
I’m happiest when… “I can spend time with the people I love, like family, friends, kids, wife, things like that.”
