The GRTiQ 10: Daniel Keyes (Ep. 160)

In the latest GRTiQ Podcast episode, Daniel Keyes shared his perspectives and experiences during the GRTiQ 10 segment, providing a glimpse into his personal and professional life.

When asked about a movie or TV show he would recommend to everyone, Daniel instantly suggested “South Park.”

Regarding music, Daniel, a self-proclaimed music nerd with an eclectic taste, found it challenging to pick just one album. He mentioned several favorites, including “Songs for the Deaf” by Queens of the Stone Age, “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” by Smashing Pumpkins, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” by Lauryn Hill, and “Gypsy Punks” by Gogol Bordello. Ultimately, he chose “The Entertainer” mixtape by DJ Skratch Bastid, which features a diverse range of music from Otis Redding to Lou Reed to Jay-Z, making it suitable for any occasion.

Daniel shared the best advice he’s ever received from his dad: “90% of success is just showing up.” This simple yet profound piece of wisdom has proven true throughout his life.

One unique skill Daniel has acquired is walking across a slackline, something he believes most people haven’t learned yet. As for his best life hack, he emphasized the benefits of long walks and plenty of sunlight for overall well-being.

When discussing the habit or characteristic that best explains why people find success, Daniel pointed to consistent, sustained effort over a long period of time. He believes that perseverance and dedication are key factors in achieving success.

In the final segment, Daniel completed three sentences:

  1. The thing that most excites him about web3 is its potential for enabling a world with truth, love, and freedom.
  2. If you’re on X (formerly known as Twitter), you should be following GRTiQ.
  3. Daniel is happiest when he is spending time with his loved ones, ideally out in nature with some good music playing in the background.
