The GRTiQ 10 is a weekly Q&A segment that wraps up every episode of the GRTiQ Podcast, offering listeners a fun and personal look at each guest. Through ten thoughtfully crafted questions, guests reveal their favorite books, music, and life hacks, share impactful advice, and reflect on their vision for the future. Designed to uncover what inspires and motivates them, the GRTiQ 10 provides practical takeaways and fosters a deeper connection between listeners and guests.
During the most recent episode of the GRTiQ podcast, our guest was Ana-Maria Calin. Towards the end of the conversation, Ana-Maria kindly answered the GRTiQ 10, a series of questions aimed at providing listeners with some new insights, inspiring ideas, and stimulating reflections.
Starting with literature, Ana-Maria pointed to the novel “A Little Life” by Hanya Yanagihara as having made a significant impact on her life. In response to a query about must-watch movies or TV shows, she nostalgically suggested the vintage series “Kung Fu.”
When it came to choosing a single album for lifelong listening, Ana-Maria chose “Circles” by Mac Miller. As for the most valuable advice she’s ever received, she credits her mother’s lessons on kindness, firmly believing that kindness extended is kindness returned.
In discussing unique personal insights, Ana-Maria humorously expressed that adulthood is an “absolute scam,” with all of us essentially being frightened children trying to navigate our way. Recognizing this, she believes, can alleviate much of the pressures of daily life.
Ana-Maria’s best life hack is to take a break when feeling overwhelmed. This could mean going for a walk, taking a nap, or reaching out to her support group, which she lovingly refers to as her “sanity council.”
When asked about the habits or characteristics that contribute to success, Ana-Maria spoke to the power of vulnerability. She views openness and vulnerability not as weaknesses, but as means to connect with others on a deeper level and help them realize they’re not alone in their struggles.
In the final segment of the GRTiQ 10, Ana-Maria shared her excitement for web3’s promise of a fairer world and opportunities for everyone, regardless of their background. On Twitter, she recommends following Timnit Gebru, an AI ethics advocate. And lastly, Ana-Maria finds the greatest joy watching her favorite TV shows with a dog on each side, and occasionally, her partner joining in on the fun.
Through the GRTiQ 10, listeners got a chance to learn about Ana-Maria’s inspirations, beliefs, life hacks, and personal moments of joy, offering both inspiration and relatability. https://www.grtiq.com/grtiq-podcast-124-ana-maria-calin/
