The GRTiQ 10: A.J. Warner (Ep. 104)

In a recent episode of the GRTiQ Podcast, Nick had a conversation with A.J. Warner. During this talk, A.J. was asked the GRTiQ 10 – a series of ten questions that are intended to help listeners learn new things, try new things, or achieve more in their lives. Here are his responses:

The book that had the greatest impact on A.J.’s life was “The Big Short,” as it helped shape his career and philosophical perspectives towards real estate and cryptocurrency.

As for a movie recommendation, A.J. chose “Good Will Hunting,” citing it as a source of inspiration to be honest with himself about his personal goals and aspirations.

Unlike most guests, A.J. confessed to not being a music person, stating that he often has difficulty multitasking and prefers silence. However, he did mention the “Californication” album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers as a fond memory from his high school days.

When it comes to the best advice he has received, A.J. highlights the importance of being honest with oneself. This lesson stemmed from a situation where he found himself following a path that didn’t truly align with his beliefs or desires.

One thing A.J. has learned in his life that he thinks most other people haven’t is the intensity of imposter syndrome, especially in the context of social media.

In terms of life hacks, A.J. found the scheduling tool Calendly to be highly beneficial, improving his efficiency in arranging meetings.

When asked about the characteristic or habit that best explains success, A.J. believes it’s the willingness to do anything and never consider oneself too important. He quoted his father, saying, “the grinders are always the winners.”

Completing the sentences at the end of the GRTiQ 10, A.J. expressed that what excites him the most about web3 is self-sovereignty and ownership. He recommends following Arbitrum and The Graph on Twitter. Lastly, he said that he’s happiest when he’s with his family, underscoring the importance of his loved ones in his life. https://www.grtiq.com/grtiq-podcast-104-aj-warner/
