The GRTiQ 10: Eshan Chordia (Ep. 187)

In a recent episode of the GRTiQ Podcast, Eshan Chordia joined the GRTiQ 10 segment, sharing his unique perspectives on life, entrepreneurship, and the habits that drive his success.

Eshan credited Harry Potter as having a profound impact on his life, revealing he has read the series over 30 times, sometimes in reverse order to uncover the depth of foreshadowing. On entrepreneurship, he recommended The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz as an invaluable guide full of detailed lessons and practical advice. For current events and insightful analyses, Eshan relies on The Economist and follows thought leaders like Noah Smith and Matthew Yglesias on Substack.

Eshan enthusiastically recommended Psych as his favorite TV show, calling it the “greatest TV show of all time.” On the music front, he highlighted three albums that hold special meaning for him: The Carter IV by Lil Wayne, We Are All We Need by Above and Beyond, and the soundtrack from the Bollywood classic Dil Se.

The best advice he received was to embrace his individuality in leadership, emphasizing the importance of authenticity over imitation. Eshan also shared his belief in slowing down to observe and learn from everyday moments, whether through people-watching or reflecting on stories in books.

Eshan’s best life hack is prioritizing sleep, noting how getting eight to nine hours allows him to sustain energy and make better decisions. When discussing the key to success, he stressed the importance of persistence, adding that putting in the effort creates the conditions for luck to occur.

The thing that most excites me about the future of blockchain is… “Financial markets moving to blockchain, enabling sub-10-minute transactions and streamlining financial systems.”
If you’re on X (formerly Twitter), you should be following… “Ben Solak for football and Noah Smith for policy and economics.”
I’m happiest when… “I’m fully present, engaged in the moment.”
