The GRTiQ 10: Charlie Hu (Ep. 175)

In a recent episode of the GRTiQ Podcast, Charlie Hu shared his insights and experiences during the GRTiQ 10 segment. Here are the highlights of his responses.

When asked about the book or article that had the most impact on his life, Charlie cited “Antifragile” by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. This book explores how certain things thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors.

For a movie recommendation, Charlie chose “The Matrix,” a film that has deeply resonated with many for its exploration of reality and perception.

If he could only listen to one music album for the rest of his life, Charlie would choose Metallica’s “Black Album,” a classic in the heavy metal genre.

The best advice Charlie has ever received is the slogan of a football team: “Never underestimate the heart of the champion.” This advice underscores the importance of drive and determination.

One unique insight Charlie shared is the importance of being diplomatic and acting as a bridge between the West and the East, particularly in the web3 space. He emphasized the value of understanding and connecting diverse cultures.

Charlie’s best life hack is addressing important tasks that can be completed within a minute right away. This approach helps him stay on top of things and avoid procrastination.

Based on his own experiences, Charlie believes that successful people maintain crazy discipline and order in their lives. He mentioned his zero inbox policy as a way to stay efficient and organized.

In the final three questions, Charlie completed the sentences as follows:

  1. The thing that most excites him about the future of web3 is the Bitcoin ecosystem.
  2. On X (formerly Twitter), he suggested following his handle @CharlieHusats.
  3. He is happiest when he sees certain people get their problems fixed.
